Crawling Home.

I planned today carefully.

I based the plan on the very precise weather forecast.

Which was mainly right, but was entirely wrong as regards timing, so instead of getting home an hour before the snow, we arrived at the edge of town half an hour after it.

And so the last 4.6 miles took all of three hours. Nose to tail. Moving just a few yards every ten minutes or so.

At least traffic leaving town was doing much better!

EDIT. Shortly after this shot was taken a fire engine left town in a hurry. Apparently a car had caught fire, so traffic LEAVING town ground to a halt also.
