By the Side of the Pond

Dear Diary,

My pond hadn't frozen when we got the snowfall on Tuesday so I thought I'd see what it looked like.  For some reason, it reminded me of a view through the clouds from and airplane.  Instead of a landscape of trees below, it was the watery world of fish and turtles beneath the "clouds".  What little snow we have won't last as it will be warming next week with rain.  A very odd December.
