Glasgow delights
Backblip
Up fairly early and Mike went to MacDonalds to get a take away breakfast. We sat eating it watching the Rugby which was not as thrilling as previous games but still enjoyable.
We checked out and left our bags in Reception. The rain had eased abit so we did not get too wet walking to The Lighthouse. We looked round the Design and Print show but it was in a tiny space and so crowded we did not stay for long. Instead we enjoyed a tasty soup and bread from the cafe and people watched.
We looked round some of the fascinating exhibitions which were part of the Sonica show. Amazing sounds , very enjoyable and fun

It was now raining quite heavily so we decided to see Terminator. A good film , slightly too much swearing from one of the female characters which seems to be a new thing at the moment as noticed it in a few films and tv programmes.
Still raining but we wanted to go to Merchant City for the craft fair. We walked through George Square where Nicola Sturgeon was on stage with lots of independence flags flying. It did mean we got to see the lovely police horses though. They were huge !
We past several murals on the way but this one was my favourite. Part of a much larger one which covers a whole wall with fantastic animals too :)
Interesting things at the craft fair including some very nice stained glass animals and houses which we resisted.
A meal back at where we had eaten the other day.We sat outside undercover next to a heater. Really good food again.
We then walked to the Theatre to see The Mousetrap. The longest running play in the West End, running for over 67 years. The only item left from the original show us a clock that sits on the mantle piece.
A walk back to Jury’s to collect our bags and a taxi to our next hotel. Then bed !
