Dad’s turn

Yesterday I posted a photo of my mom’s favorite Christmas ornament. This is my dad’s. He loved to make people laugh, and sadly his jokes were often too corny, but he could really make this reindeer do funny things. It is strung together, then held taut by a spring underneath the red base. When you push up on the bottom of the base, the string relaxes and the animal moves. Here the deer is bowing it’s head. Dad could make it kneel, or sit down, or play dead. It was hilarious!
