Didn't sleep well last night. Kept playing yesterdays conversation over and over in my head. Wishing in the heat of the moment I had responded better. I woke at 2am and had to read for ages till I fell back asleep. Then I woke again at 5.30am. I'm especially annoyed that I've let her get to me so much. But I guess that's because I care about providing a good service and her comments are totally unjustified and down right nasty.

Mike got up to take the dogs out as usual and I got the kids up. He came in about 7.30am to say Nell had run off again and no sign of her. I went out to look for her whilst he got ready for work and it was a good 45 mins till she came running up behind me. I was so worried and imagining the worst possible scenarios. Not a good state of mind when I'd only had a few hours sleep. So no more off lead for her for a while. She was very sheepish. I just made it back in time to take the kids to school.

I was late getting to the horses to do their hay and worried about the frosty grass and colic but they were all fine. Buddy and Jack had the farrier. Didn't have the energy or motivation to do anything else with them today, even though they could do with the exercise.

Toby had his class assembly on space today. There were a lot of facts and figures. He did well.
