In smoked filled air I can finally breathe

I wasn't made for office work. I'm meant to be outdoors. A full day of hard work, dragging gorse bushes and hawthorn uphill to a bonfire. Everything about Butterfly Conservation working parties is a bit spiky apart from the people.

We made real progress and I helped create some great spaces that I'm sure the insects will appreciate when summer comes. I had the best day, a sense of achievement and really feeling like I made a difference and had actually done something with my day off. I feel like me again.

I fell asleep by 8.30pm and can barely move today but it was so worth it.
