Hat and cat watching for Santa

In truth, she was watching a squirrel in the old pear tree outside the window. One of the lighting choices in the iPhone 11 Pro portrait editing
program allowed me to black out the room and window details. Merry is the most dedicated bird and wildlife watcher I have ever spent time with. She watches for hours, motionless except for chattering now and then.

We really love Merry Mischief so much. We've had her exactly 4 months today. She's an imp, loves to play, monitor her windows and eat with the typical gusto of an Abyssinian cat. She greets us at the door when we come in, loves to be stroked and patted, and wants to be in on everything we do. She nuzzles, sits in our laps and faithfully wakes us up by 6 every morning. Merry fits in perfectly with very big paws to fill. I still can't think of Raspberry  without filling up with tears, but Merry is really such a joy. Spending the day with her keeps me constantly busy until it's time for T to be picked up. We feel very lucky to have her.

For the Record,
This day came in cold with the snow still sticking on the trees like a winter wonderland until close to 11 AM,  just gorgeous winter weather.

All hands busy.
