Lyne Valley

Clocks have moved forward to Greenwich Mean Time, so a brighter morning.

A bit breezy today, but was doing more than 8mph on the Moor Rd, so wasn't too bad. Still bit of a grind. I was good to drop in to West Linton, then head out to Romannobridge. I stop just outside the village to take a photo down the Lyne Valley before heading south to the A72.

Along the A72 and up over the Meldons, there was a sort of tail wind. Dropping down to Eddleston was ok initially. However on the twisty descent part I took it easy due to the crosswind.

Along the A703, the up the switchbacks to Toxside along the Falla Toll road, slightly wind assisted, and the Top Gear road. Mount Lothian wasn't too bad, again into the wind a bit, but not as much as I expected it to be. Crosswinds made the descent to Auchendinny interesting. Nice to get on to the Seafield Moor road and home. Not the best ride, but the sun stayed out most of the time and there was quite a lot of autumn colour.

The whole ride can be seen at Relive here.

In the afternoon, my partner and I head to Newington and visit the charity shops before heading to Forest Rd, then Tollcross for afternoon coffee and cake. Of course being GMT, it's dark when we get on the bus home.
