Interesting book...

This is one of the books that are recommended reading for the Guild of Guides. Unfortunately it is out of print so not easy to get hold of. I reserved the only copy available to borrow at the local library. When the previous lender hadn’t returned it for over 3 months the librarian agreed to let me borrow their reference copy.
I haven’t got too far through it yet but have already discovered that my uncle lost 3 toes on the day the German’s bombed the White Rock. A bomb also fell on the Strand and the blast caught my uncle. Luckily his little boy who was with him was unharmed.
