A Flash of Color...

.....on a dark, dreary day.  I stuck my lens out the porch door for a short time hoping to capture a backyard critter.  None of them were very cooperative and even this cardinal wouldn't land in a tree.  

Today was the second day of rain.  Yesterday it poured buckets, today it was just a drizzle, but I am thankful it isn't the snow that those to the north of us are getting. 

The kids left very early yesterday morning for an 8 a.m. flight back to NY.C  They were wise to choose that early flight because the airports and roads only got busier as the day went on and the weather deteriorated with snow in NY causing all kinds of problems.
