Queen Merry of Christmas

I feel like a real cat whisper now, accomplishing this portrait of Merry. She really looks so very regal. Once a show cat, always a show cat I guess. She actually stayed seated while I took several shots on the iPhone 11 Max portrait setting. She's an imp, so having her stay still is actually unbelievable, and wearing a hat. Is it a one off, or can I  convince her to wear another?

The weather was horrendous last night, especially on the way home from the Judy Collins concert, sleet, snow, slush, untreated roads, a bit scary. The concert was wonderful. Judy's voice is still clear and lovely, suffering a bit from age, but really, she's 80 and still performing!  She sang a few of her beloved favorites along with many songs from her new album, Winter Stories along with Jonas Fjeld and the wonderful Bluegrass group, Chatham County Line. It was a lovely evening.

For the Record,
This day came in wet and gloomy with  old rain washing away the overnight snow. More snow is on the way this evening as temps fall.
