2019 Saturday — November’s End
Packing-up November: Thirty days ago this month arrived with us wondering what to do with our leftover Halloween candy and departs today with us thinking about the sweetness of Christmas.
We’re on California’s Central Coast for this farewell with rain falling and wind blowing. This next-to-last month of the year found us celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Our oldest granddaughter and her husband celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary, our oldest great-granddaughter celebrated her 4th birthday, and my 70th birthday came without fanfare, but a lovely delicious enjoyable meal with our son whose birthday was the same day. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 55th Thanksgiving together with 20+ people while the sky poured rain.
We’ve analyzed anxiety, constructed memories, breathed deeply, and savored special moments. This has been the most unique November we have ever experienced. These two from Funville have appreciated life this eleventh month.
Mr. Fun & I have much for which to be thankful, and most of all we thank God for the gift of eternal life, and we know December is about the manger, not the market place.
God bless you.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
