Village Christmas lights switch-on

We call this annual event 'Christmas is coming' and it always follows the same pattern.  

1). The village turns out in force at the village hall

2)  Everyone says "I dont know most of these people"

3) We drink mulled wine and eat mince pies

4) There is a countdown to the Christmas tree lights switch-on

5)  We sing some Carols

6) We go inside to hear local children performing Christmas music

7) We sing more carols

8). We hang baubles on the tree

9). We go home
