Forest Bathing
It was cold and the threatening to rain but we walked almost 3 miles at Phillips Park this morning before the rain began in earnest. I’m glad I found some hearty souls who don’t mind getting a little damp for church of nature on this spitting Sunday. And one of my new friends even noticed that we were walking amongst a different kind of tree than usual, a pine tree. Usually there are a few mixed with the deciduous but today there were clumps of only pine trees and I was thrilled that someone else noticed. The trail was soft and covered in pine needles. I collected pine bows and cones from the ground to make a festive arrangement at home. I heard a fellow hiker ask their neighbor, “What IS she doing?”
