best done with a parent. Finally got close enough to the swans (Tundra and Trumpeter Swans winter here) to get some shots. Most of the wetlands were covered in ice; this group of parents and youngsters kindly stayed put, and let me watch their ice capades. In the extra is a Great Egret, who chose not to stay put.
