No steam

We went up to the village station to see the York Yuletide Express train passing through at lunchtime. There was a small group of enthusiasts there to see it, not that we can be classed as enthusiasts, just a good excuse for an interesting walk on a cold sunny day. The return trip was due to be steam driven, but we didn’t see it.

R came over for dinner this evening and shared the cooking. It was good to catch up on the news. The Christmas lights were switched on in the village this evening. We saw the very end of the fireworks display from the back garden.
