Red
The little, one and only cayenne pepper I have grown and blipped a month or so ago, has now turned red! So I assume it is ready to eat. We will have to sample it to see how hot it is and then decide how to make use of it.
The week has gone smoothly. Merlin did well at dog training and we apparently have a trial exam next week so the teacher can decide whether to enter us all into the exam before Christmas...or not! Yoga on Thursday was calming and energising, but it is all change for three months or so as our teacher is off to New Zealand. We have a new teacher to fill in for him who teaches a different form of yoga from the vinyasa yoga we are used to doing. I am looking forward to trying something different but do think it will be hard to match up to the nice flowing yoga and gentle teacher we are used to having.
Finally last night we had an interesting discovery. For several weeks we have noticed a strong fishy smell when boiling water. I assumed it was an electrical fault (as a shorting electrical circuit can cause this smell). So we bought a new kettle - only to find the smell continued. After searching on the internet we have found it is the water filter causing the problem. In areas such as ours where the water is of poor quality (in our case it is very hard), the water filter we have doesn't last very long and once it stops working properly the chemicals in it create this smell. So the water filter is off to the charity shop and the old kettle was thrown away without any need for it. Never mind, I suppose the main thing is that we no longer have fishy water! And, on that note, I better wish you a happy evening!
