River Helmsdale, Opening of the Salmon Season

To mark the opening of the new salmon fishing season on the river Helmsdale this is the fly used by Mr Ronald Sutherland of the Helmsdale Company, who made the opening cast. The fly is pictured against Mr Sutherland's kilt, which is, of course, the Sutherland tartan.
