Friendly Fire
Last week Mum got "Tika-attacked", when a faux religious type slaps some red tika paste on your forehead, sprinkles flowers on your head and demands some cash for the pleasure of being ambushed.
This lady is the authentic type. She was walking the street where we work, going from shop to shop, singing a little and offering blessing to those who wanted them (today is a winter festival that attempts to keep people warm by eating sweetmeats). I asked for a picture and she said no. I sat down at the side of the road and after 10 minutes she came over and and said yes. Which made me happy.
We then went to eat some lush samosas with curry, This made me happy too :-P
