peregrines

It's been a while since I went to see our local peregrines, mostly duet to the awful weather of late but today was glorious albeit cold. When I arrived there were no birds to be seen but then the juvenile followed by the adult pair came in. All had clearly been eating breakfast somewhere and had good crops. It is amazing that the adults have tolerated one of this years offspring to stay so long. He apparently is catching his own share of food which is clearly in plentiful supply so he might stay for Christmas lunch.
The juvenile is the first extra, you can tell by the markings going length ways down his body.
