Marlborough rock daisy (Pachystegia insignis)
A couple of days ago the first Marlborough rock daisy appeared. Pachystegia insignis is the most common form and I like it with the white edge to the leaves.
Over time they'll become more prominent at the front as they grow and spread. They're very hardy preferring poor soils, heat, and dry. I'm careful not to feed them as I nourish and build the soil around them.
It's been another hot, hot day today. Fortunately the spin bike room had the fans and heat pumps on from early afternoon so it was tolerable by class time.
Today's gratitude: For seeing the results of thriving in my job today.
