Baddesley Clinton
On our journey to Ross-on-Wye we made a detour to visit this wonderful National Trust property. It had been decked out with Christmas decorations all based on the theme of reflections.
I couldn’t resist the reflections in the moat although this view is of the back of the property. The extra is a close up of the boat floating to the side of the main photo. Unfortunately the front elevation was already in the shade such is the light at this time of year.
It had a fascinating history of priest holes, murders and some very influential women. There was even blood stained timbers .......however that was largely because of a very creative owner wanting to make the most of the murder of a priest!
A fantastic moated Manor House well worth a visit. What a change of weather too! Much prefer the colder brighter weather despite the nip in the air.
Richard even felt better with a change of scenery to distract him.
