Looks like an alien...

But it's a condensate preheater at unit EC20.
This preheater hangs under the low pressure turbine in the top of the condenser. The steam coming from the turbine heats up the condensate so gives an increase in efficiency.

The "eyes" are manholes to give access to the inside of the heater.

In an hour we have to start up the first of four units, so there's work to be done.
