Here comes the sun!

What a fabulous day. One we appreciate so much more after the dull, wet  and dreary weather we have had this week.

So glad we decided to do the shopping yesterday, which meant we could enjoy today.

So we drove to Pugneys Country Park,, just off the M1 near Wakefield, and walked to Sandal Castle. Not too bad for walking except for one path across a field planted with oil seed rape, where it was VERY muddy. Glad we had decided to wear our boots.

 The castle is now just a ruin, but a place with such a lot of history

On a day like today the views from up there were wonderful.

Fortified with coffee and bacon and sausages sandwiches, we walked back, and round the rest of the lake, before driving back home.
