Autumn colours again

A decent day and as we were booked into a (relativley) locla restuarant for lunch, nothing could be done in the garden. This is oour hoouse from the other side of the valley as we were driving up to the aforementioned restaurant.
One of tohse great restaurnats where you don't get much choice. When I booked, I was asked if I wanted the small or large menu - silly question really.
The first time we were asked for our choice was whether we wanted a coffee or not after the meal. Without any asking a steady procession of local hearty food was served. Salad and charcuterie, cepe omelette, roast veal and dauphinoise pootatoes, cheese, chestnut tart and ice- cream. Wine was of course included and all for twenty-two euros.
Not surprising that it was full even though it is in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunatley on return it was deemed too good weather not to go outside and attack the brambles again and so anther happy couple of hours spent on our terraces. Progress is now visbile at least.
