"pat a cake, pat a cake"

I have never resorted to using Squirty cream in a cake before but tonight became an unplanned baking lesson for my friend Phil so needs must! His new year resolution is to learn to cook so we started with a simple cake with quite pleasing results for a first attempt!

My flatmate Lyndsay also returned to Dundee today so the 3 of us are now all sat on the sofa watching Unknown, becoming more and more confused as the storyline unfolds with more twists and turns than the world's fastest rollercoaster!!

It's been attempting to snow all day today but has failed miserably! Not sure which is worse - sleety rain or heavy snow that makes travel a nightmare!
