The Ice Cream Man came Today

Yesterday the entire faculty received an email from the vice president of our campus stating that he was so excited and proud of the faculty and staff for the increased enrollment this semester (and this school year, for that matter). Here is an excerpt from his message:

" . . . Our productivity is really high, with over 30 percent more students having access to our classes than was the case two years ago."

To celebrate he announced that he would be treating all of us to ice cream today at the beginning of the Strategic Planning Meeting. He had the ice cream man park his truck just outside the Humanities Building.

I arrived a little late to the meeting and the ice cream truck was surrounded with students, so I went right on by and into the meeting. On my way home from the campus I decided to cash in on the ice cream celebration and stopped by the store. I figured it would be a great way to remember this momentous day. So here's a shot of my ice cream bar and a view of the ho-hum moment in a less than exciting afternoon campus meeting.


Thank you to everyone for the comments on yesterday's anniversary-bridal blip. Several of you said that I should save it in a photo-album. I have dozens of albums, most are ragged from age. I came to Blipfoto because I believe it is a permanent place. Someday when my family is interested and when I am gone, I hope that my page on Blip will be a place my kids and grandkids can visit to learn more about them and about me. And maybe they'll learn about ALL of YOU as well! Wow!
