View over the River Axe

My blip today was staring me in the face as I looked out of the front window. It is a lovely sunny morning and looking west I can see the roofs of the nearest houses and the footpath down into town and beyond,  near the skyline, you can see the houses of the little village of Kilmington.  In between but out of sight is the river Axe and farm land   Axminster was a  Roman settlement  and   if you look around in the woods beyond Kilmington you can still find the remains of the Roman road
