All Quiet at the Beaver Pond

Dear Diary,

Ice is beginning to form on the beaver pond although the mild temperatures today and downpours tonight might put an end to it for the time being.  The water is still open around the beaver's lodge.  Although I didn't see any beavers, I believe the lodge is still occupied as it looks like there is fresh mud and sticks on top.  There is an osprey nest in a nearby dead tree to but I couldn't get that in the frame.  A big travel day for folks because of Thanksgiving tomorrow but Louisa and I will have a quiet day.  Louisa will play with her new catnip mousie, video here, and I will play with some wool to needlefelt something new.
