Fishy Business

Some aquarium maintenance was in order today. The big catfish is a bit poorly and the hair algae is still out of control, both probably due to dodgy water quality. So it was a water change, algae scraping, plant thinning and water treatment to reduce nitrates. Might have to reduce phosphate levels too but I’ll hold off on that and any other treatment for the catfish for the time being. The new algae eaters and the rest of the fish seem fine but the shrimps are posted missing, I suspect the catfish has something to do with that!
