Working Alone

A solitary bee collecting nectar and pollen for her brood from a marigold. She is less than 5mm long. Pollen is gathered on the hairs of her body, and particularly her legs. Note the thick deposit on the leg below her waist. It’s hard to see because it’s the same colour as the flower.
