Refreshing, Restorative Rain
It's the first time I've seen it heavy like this in over a year, and it's so wonderful I just stood outside watching it for a while, and then remembered I needed a Blip... and do you see that green stuff? that's grass!
Mike's been away all day at a meeting in Mora, and I glued my butt to the seat till I'd gone through my whole inbox, what a marathon. Once more, I promise myself I won't let it fill up again, we'll see...
Extra of Ermelinda's birthday meal last night, that her husband, Cecílio, had lovingly cooked for us all, including Brazilian prawn moqueca.
If you really want to make a friend, go to someone's house and eat with him... the people who give you their food give you their heart.

- rain splattering off the roof and making puddles
- a long conversation with my son - who to vote for, politics, abortion, marriage, leaving room for mystery and ambiguity, arrogance and humility - heated at times, but think we listened to each other
