What is it?

9°C  -  18 mph Wind  -  Cloudy  -  Light Rain.  Another dreich day. Looking through my oddments in search of a blip I chose this shell  -  simply because its shape reminded me of a bonnet, and the hole on the top could house a woollen bobble.  What do you see?
