Walking Out

The doctors on their rounds this morning, told LongLegs that he couldn’t go home until his temperature spikes stopped. Having just had another, he felt doomed to days more on the ward.

2 hours later, his lovely surgeon woke him from a sleep and told him to go home, that temperature spikes after major invasive surgery were normal, especially in the young.

So he walked out and we caught an Uber home.

It’s going to take a long while to recover. Trying to get him comfortable in a bed that doesn’t fit tall people lying on their backs and doesn’t bend in the middle to prop him up, was quite a task.
