Botanic Gardens

I was woken by S just before 2 as she had a terrible pain in her lower right abdomen; we went off to the Royal where we went to A and E. We were seen in 3 hours by a doctor who thought S might have appendicitis so she took blood for tests and we went off to wait for the results. At about 8 we were told it was appendicitis, and that S hopefully would have an operation later that day. There seemed little point in me staying so I went home and then out for a walk down to the Botanics where I took this shot of origami boats that are part of Christmas at the Botanics 2019. S had her operation in the afternoon and R and I went to see her in the evening; she was fine.
