Monday
Having a sleep over at a friend's is quite a novelty. Julie and I shared the spare bedroom and were very comfortable. It made the whole experience very enjoyable.
After a leisurely breakfast I drove home to dump my things and check all was well. Then to Hexham for a haircut and to have my new specs adjusted.
All too soon it was lunchtime. Catriona came in the afternoon to chat over a few festival things. She is taking over as Chair of the company when I retire at Christmas.
I sat down for a few minutes, fell asleep in the chair and woke with a start to realised the meal needed to be cooked asap.
Tonight was Tynedale Photo Group where 8 members showed panels they have been working on. They were very varied and very interesting. We always have a lot of fun too. Brian was trying to celebrate his 84th birthday quietly but there was cake and bubbly in the interval.
I had no blip and decided to photograph the lights on the village hall after the meeting. Adele and her daughter, Anna, just happened to come into my shot. Anna had made a lot of origami penguins and other animals and Adele had made a beautiful panel using them . It was minimalist and subtle. I think Anna must have been to judo (or something similar) on their way to the meeting.
