"Through A Glass Darkly" ....

.... is what I thought when I saw this image of a greenfinch on screen. That immediately made me think of my French master at school. He forbade us to use the word mirror. He preferred looking glass. The quote is from Corinthians in the bible. In biblical times mirrors/looking glasses were made of polished metal and the images often indistinct. 

Nice to see a female greenfinch. At this time of year they don't sing their wheezing song so can go unnoticed.
