Bus Challenge No 176!
Christmas comes to St Nicholas Market, Bristol
Two buses took me into Bristol with my BC friend this morning, for a day of five varied challenges.
Challenge 1) By chance, came upon the Cadbury Secret Santa Postal Service chalet, and took advantage of the offer to anonymously post a free large bar of choccie. If you want to know if Santa will be visiting your area with free choccie, here’s a link, just enter your postcode: https://secretsanta.cadbury.co.uk/PostalService
Challenge 2) To the Corn Exchange and St Nicholas Market, established in 1743, the oldest and best loved market in Bristol, for a spot of Christmas shopping. (Extra no 1)
Challenge 3) To the 14th century church of St Stephen’s for a tasty lunch in the church’s Spanish cafe, followed by a brilliant lunchtime concert by the Brandon Quartet playing Dvorak. (Extra no 3)
Challenge 4) To Bristol Christmas Market where the cheery lights brightened up a dark afternoon. (Extra no 2)
Challenge 5) To the shops to pick up a jumper, or three! (All the pre-Ely shopping has been returned!)
Left Bristol just at the right time, just as the heavens opened. Though even in the few minutes it took to walk to the bus station for the first of two buses home, we got soaked to the skin.
Total bus journey time = 1 hour 10 mins
Total waiting between buses = 4 mins!
Total journey time = 1 hour 14 mins
(Have switched my main pic to the collage, which is a mixed up selection of photos from the day, but then it is Monday...)
