No football early on; so domesticty was the order of the day. Well, for the first bit, anyway.
Later in the morning, having insulted the bus timetable and figured W End was better the E End and off to think about Xmas shopping on Princes St.
She made it out to meet us for lunch and then off back to the 'hood. Tom went home; Alex and I went to meet Pensioner at Ainlsie Park whilst Tom sought solace in the warmth of 2 quilts and a hot water bottle on the sofa.
From the shelter of the stand (not a great turnout on a filthy afternoon), we witnessed Embra City sprint out of the traps and into a 3 goal lead. It should have been 3-1 just before half time when a free header was scrambled away by the Embra keeper.
But Annan were not to be denied; 3-1 shotly after half time. But within a minute, Embra scored again and with we the neutrals figured the game was done. But no, Annan came back with 2 more and set about finding an equaliser that had seemed scarcely creditable an hour earlier.
Embra however weathered the (not inconsiderable) storm and the truly atrocious conditions and sneaked into round 4 where Hamilton await them.
Off home for toad in the hole and the warmer and more skillful Man CIty v Chelsea and the news from up the road that intoxication was under way.
