A sad week...

Very sadly, our beautiful blue merle tri colour collie, Barney, died very suddenly this week.
My daughters found him on returning from school on Wednesday.
To say it has been an enormous shock is a complete understatement as he seemed to be as fit as a fiddle.
We first met Barney at dog's trust (then the NCDL) and his litter of 6 brothers and sisters were without their mum at 5 1/2 weeks (no one knew why) ... We brought him home 2 weeks later and he has been a wonderful part of our life for the past 12 1/2 years.
He was a fantastic dog; very loyal, lots of fun and liked to tell people when things they were doing were not sensible! He loved sledging, bringing the washing and chasing squirrels!
Our home is very empty, as are our hearts.
So if you are a dog owner, please give your dog an extra big cuddle tonight... For me.
