Bean there ...

Put up some guttering on the wood store as rain splash was soaking log ends. Took a stroll round the podere (small-holding). The pond has mainly drained away despite the sodden ground. I suspect my shallow well is now acting as a plug hole.

The broad beans I planted when still very dry in September are looking alarmingly advanced. But I really planted them as nitrogen fixing winter ground cover. Hopefully they’ll survive and produce early ‘bacini’.
