City break....

We’re taking a look at GadgetKid and G’s UK residence this weekend. Checking all is OK, altering heating settings etc, and this time we’re staying overnight. Very nice too. Thank you!

We also took the opportunity to visit friends , who live here in Guildford, for a coffee first, then used the Park and Ride bus service into town. It’s a lovely mix of the old and the new and we had a good pootle round....then it started to rain heavily so we took to the inside, and shops. My photo is inside my favourite shop; some may recognise it....
My extra is the big clock in the cobbled high street nicely lit after 4pm.

We ate in the nearest and one of our favourite places, The Drummond. It was very empty. Just three tables taken. The staff were puzzled. The food was delicious as always.
