Leaving presents

As well as a beautiful picture, we've bought our friend who's leaving The Netherlands a whole bunch of stuff: hagelslag (sprinkles), speculaas spread, ontbijtkoek (breakfast cake), a little chocolate Nijntje (Miffy), a plate for cheese and some little cheese forks, some pickwick "Dutch" blend tea bags in a little tea box and a delft style tea bag dish, an oven glove and pan stand in the blue/white design, and two clog-shaped money boxes for her children.

Then I decided she needed 2 cushions and set about making a Dutch one and a British one. I hope she is happy with it all!

I'll miss her. It's the problem with being an ex-pat - sometimes people go home :-(
