They’re back
It’s that time of year. Ring-necked parakeets are visiting the garden, as they do every year at around this time, in search of the last of the fruit on our crab apple tree. We hear them throughout the year, squawking as they fly overhead on their way from the woods behind us. But they rarely land other than in autumn. This brightly coloured quartet hung around for a while this morning, eagerly on the lookout for food.
