Barter Books

We headed off to Alnwick Castle this morning only to find it’s closed until March! We did have a lovely time wandering around Barter Books in the old Alnmouth train station though. Later we stopped at Tynemouth beach where @Beewriter threatened to go swimming. The sea was so rough we managed to dissuade her on safety grounds and she settled for a paddle instead. Later we headed out to the Broad Chare for dinner . I had a couple of small plates rather than a large main and fared better than Bee and Tom who were stuffed by the end of the evening. A lovely night in a great pub.
