Lady Winifred Maxwell, Countess Nithsdale

It was annual open weekend at Traquair House, and our choir was singing. My friends Chris (scientist) and David. (lawyer) are admiring Lady Winifred whose claim to fame is that she smuggled her husband out of captivity in the Tower of London in 1716.
