Drishti Bommai
Drishti Bommai are the little masks seen all over India used to ward off negative energy from those jealous of something new or beautiful; to evade bad fate and prevent accidents.
I see them less in Manakpur Sharif but they are all over Delhi. Apparently more colourful in the South of India and I have seen mostly black masks in Delhi.
Today I continued with planter making and took my walk into the village, bought a needle and thread to sew up my trous.
Yesterday our Nepalese kitchen staff, packed there belongings and upped and left in the middle of the night. Rachel (US workaway) seems to now be doing all the cooking so I’m to help with cookies tomorrow which will be a fun change of scenery.
TGT:
-calm and peaceful aura
-nice lady who sold me needle and thread
-walks to the village at sunset with the birds flitting around
-(bonus TGT- my trousers stitched up nicely!)
