Friday: Sapere Aude

I am pretty fussy about what work events I will attend on a Friday night or over a weekend.  But I was invited to tonight’s event about six months ago and so I couldn’t really come up with a valid excuse not to go.  Add to that the fact that it was black tie which really isn’t my favourite way of spending time.

Anyway, I was right to be slightly sceptical about it.  It was a very weird night - the doors to the buffet getting stuck and someone being unable to unsheath a sword that turned out to be far too heavy for them, thus nearly causing an incident, were two of the less random points of the evening,

Anyway, it’s done now.  Thank goodness.
