Hospital day.
Main event today was a 70 mile round trip to The Royal Preston Hospital for the second and final stage of the removal of Mrs. K’s facial melanoma.
Pluses: surgery looks to be of a high standard; it is completely free; staff were very caring and friendly; no parking problems.
Minuses: we were asked to get there by 8 a.m.; of course we checked in at 07.30; surgery was not done until 11.45 a.m.
As a reward for my loving care we stopped at Lancaster services on the way home and I was allowed to have TWO hot Gregg’s sausage rolls.
