BP Portrait Awards 2012

It is a pretty bleak winter's day so where better to go than the Scottish National Gallery to look at the BP Portrait Awards exhibition. It is the annual showcase of the very best in contemporary portrait painting from around the world, this year featuring 55 works selected from over 2,000 international entries.

I didn't really like the first, second or third prizewinners but this is my favourite: Pasha Triptych painted by Ismail Acar (oil on canvas).
